OUR MOTTO
"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Fredericksburg Bible Institute and Seminary is to serve Christ by inspiring, developing, and equipping persons to know God and His Word better.
Isn't it just for people who want to be ministers or Sunday School Teachers?
No. Fredericksburg Bible Institute is open to anyone who desires to have a deeper understanding of God's Word. We do have many ministers, youth pastors, and Sunday school teachers among our alumnae; however, our commitment is to the enrichment of the spiritual life of all of our students. This commitment is reflected in the classes, the fellowship, the discipleship programs, and every other aspect of the total institutional community. It is here that the soul is ignited, that students are motivated to ministry, that the vision is caught.
THEOLOGY
The Institute teaches theology, but always from the perspective of what the Bible has to say about any given subject. Paul taught, "the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also" (II Tim. 2:2). The Institute wants to help ministers and teachers to teach the Bible in their local congregations.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING
The Fredericksburg Bible Institute and Seminary also has a commitment to vocational training. We teach not only the "Why" but the "How" to live God's word. We recognize the importance of knowing the meaning of God's word and teaching the skills necessary to minister the Word both in theory and in practice. Whether you come to enhance your ministry, to teach or to increase your own personal biblical understanding, remember that you may be the only "Bible" some people read.
